Red FPLR Fire Alarm Cable
This 1000 foot red 18/2 fire alarm / security cable comes in an easy to use pull box. The cable is composed of 2 18 AWG (American Wire Gauge) wires inside of a FPLR rated outer jacket. The primary use of this cable is for power limited fire circuits, but it also finds use in the wiring of security systems. (Often one finds the two systems are closely tied together.)
Our security/fire alarm cables listed as FPLR (Fire-Power Limited-Riser) meet characteristics defined under UL 1424. This cable is intended for installation in vertical runs which the length exceeds one floor. This is specified in section 760-154(B) of the National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA 70. These cables also meet UL 1666 meaning that fall within flame-propagation height rules.
SK-FIRE-CO-W Addressable Combination Fire/CO Detector
The SK-FIRE-CO-W is an addressable combination fire and CO detector that can detect and send separate signals for fire and CO. This multi-criteria detector uses four sensing technologies (photoelectric, infrared, heat, and CO) to accurately detect fire and CO alarm conditions with a high immunity to false alarms. The WSK-HEAT provides fixed temperature alarm detection at 135Ā°F. The WSK-HEAT-ROR provide Rate-of-Rise Detection at 15ā°F/min. The WSK-HEAT and WSK-HEAT-ROR communicate with the fire alarm control panel (FACP) through a wireless mesh network to the WSK-WGI wireless gateway.
